    Type Locality and Naming
It was named by the Joint Research Team of the 305 Project and published by Wang Wuyan in 1990. No type section was designated. The name of this formation is retained herein although the validity of this formation needs further investigation.
Synonym: (塔勒布拉克组)
Lithology and Thickness
The formation, 1069 m in thickness, is dominated by pelitic sandstone, siltstone and slate.

The top of the formation is unclear. Regionally, the next younger unit is the Bayanbulak Fm of upper Silurian
